The German Reference
Centre for Ethics in the Life Sciences (DRZE). The DRZE's was founded in January 1999 and its role is
to compile a central, comprehensive and up-to-date collection of
national and international information, documents and literature
on ethics in the life sciences, including relevant legal, social
and scientific material. Moreover, the Reference Centre provides
quality information and services in order to enable and facilitate
access to information in the Life Sciences context.
The Provincial Health
Ethics Network. Similar to BENO, PHEN
is a network of individuals interested in health ethics across
Alberta. Be sure to search the site for its wide range of
resources.
Last
Acts is a national coalition to improve
care and caring at the end of life. The initiative grew out of the
well-known SUPPORT research project. The Last Acts Web site has an
electronic newsletter, resource directory, descriptions of Task
Force and Resource Committee work, and recent media coverage of
end-of-life developments. BENO is a Last Acts
partner.
The Center
for Literature, Medicine, and the Health Care
Professions. A long overdue link to a
major contributor to the efforts of The
Bioethics Network of Ohio.
End of Life
Physician Resource Center. The Medical
College of Wisconsin and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation wish
to announce the launching of a new Web site designed to be the
central repository of peer-reviewed end-of-life educational
materials for physician educators.
Bioethics
Resources on the Web. Compiled by the
National Institutes of Health.
National Bioethics
Advisory Commission. Established by
Executive Order in 1995, the commission has established reports,
resources and opportunities for dialogue on numerous issues facing
those of us working in the field of bioethics.
Americans for
Better Care of the Dying (ABCD) An
advocacy group "dedicated to social, professional, and policy
reform aimed to improve the care system..." Offers newsletter,
resources, and links to many other sites, deals with hospice care,
end-of-life support, the dying process and conducts a
demonstration project called MediCaring. Many will recognize the
name of Joanne Lynn, MD, who is president of this
organization.
Medical College
of Wisconsin Online Bioethics Service A
wonderful resource providing online discussions of bioethics
issues through their listserver, some bioethics texts and a
searchable archive of related material.
Poynter
Center Based at Indiana University,
this site has information on Ethics and the Professions, Medical
Ethics and The Ethics of Research.
Eubios
Ethics Institute A site looking at the
international discussion of ethical issues. It includes a large
list of related publications available over the Web.

American Society for
Bioethics and Humanities The new
organization that is a merger of The Society for Bioethics
Consultation (SBC), the Society for Health and Human Values (SHHV)
and the American Association of Bioethics (AAB)

Humanities syllabi.
